We come here at least once a month from Hollister. The food is delicious! Always well seasoned, hot and fresh! I love the consistency! Each time we order we know exactly what we will get and it's always good. I love Nico's camarones with green sauce. It's like chile verde shrimp-full of flavor, perfectly salty, and plenty of lime. We also love getting the carne asada fajita style. It comes with a huge amount of meat and delicious sautéed onions and peppers as well as my favorite Mexican rice and super creamy, cheesy beans. My husband and I always share an entree because the portions here are huge and there is free delicious chips and salsa(pro tip-we ask for a side of limes and squeeze it on the chips with some extra salt-delish!). We always leave super full and satisfied! Just writing about it makes me want to go right now!

I have been enjoying Jardines De San Juan for decades. The atmosphere is beautiful. The servers are fantastic. Unfortunately, my last two visits were a little disappointing. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno dish. He thought they made a mistake by serving him a Chile Relleno that was all fried batter with a 2 inch long chile inside. He didn't tell to the server he was not happy. My mother ordered the same thing and it was all batter and a tiny chile inside. We asked the server and the server said they use canned chiles that are small. Pretty disappointed because fresh larger chiles are available just about everywhere in this area. Won't be ordering Chile Rellenos here again.

I've been here twice while on the way to the big pumpkin patch in Hollister and the food is ok. I'm very particular with Mexican food and this is just ok, nothing spectacular. I got the tamale and taco combo plate which came with beans and rice. I found the tamale to be pretty dry inside, it was just the shredded pork and all the sauce was on told of the tamale but I feel like some inside would have kept the meat from tasting dried out. The taco was good but it was a crispy taco shell which I seldom have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the churro cake. This cake took away alllllll the negatives with my entree and redeemed the entire experience. Now I believe this may be seasonal as it was on a chalk board when we walked in, not on the menu but especially it's the Chili's molten chocolate cake but churro and with Dulce de leche inside. It was spectacular! Super moist, delicious and it came topped with ice cream. I was with a group of 6 and didn't want to make a big deal about how delicious this was so that no one would ask to try it and I could eat it all myself!

Passing by San Juan and wanted to give this restaurant a try for lunch. We were seated outside. It's a large outdoor patio and seating area. It was crowded, but you had space. We ordered a cheese enchilada combo plate that included a chile relleno, and also ordered a chicken burrito. All of the the food was good, but I enjoyed the chicken burrito more than the combo plate. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well and paired nicely with the pinto beans and rice. The chips and salsa- just okay. Next time I am in the area I will stop by again.

EXCELLENT! Stopped in after a visit to the Mission. This place looks so deceiving from the outside. You walk in to a beautiful garden oasis. The staff was very friendly and seated us quickly and took our drink orders. The chips and salsa came quickly after. The salsa was soo good. You can definitely tell that everything was made fresh, in house. I ordered the "People's Choice" burrito which came with carnitas, rice, beans and all the fixings. It was excellent and I was barely able to finish it. My wife ordered the taco and enchilada combo plate. According to her, they were the best echilladas she's ever had.

This was the first time I went here and I was so glad I did. The staff were extremely friendly. The tamales were OUTSTANDING! The sauce was the BEST! I'm very picky about my sauce so this says a lot about it. My chili relleno was not as good as my mom's. There's has a thick coating of egg, my mom makes them thinner. My friend had the chicken enchilada. He thought it had way too many onions and was dry. We would definitely go back.
